Cocktails, as well as a full menu and light fare, are available all day from Rooster Tail Bar & Grill. As with The Boathouse, Rooster Tail is waterfront too. Menu includes bistro favorites, elegant seafood, and Harbour Island favorites. The entire menu is available for room service, so we can bring your meals to you. Come evening, Valentines Harbour Island ambiance (welcoming locals and visitors alike) will have you rubbing elbows with people from all walks of life. Rooster Tail Bar draws a jet-set crowd of island hoppers with credentials in business, real estate, the arts… even the music and entertainment industry is well represented at the Boathouse. Join us for daily Happy Hour from 4-6 pm for drink and appetizer specials. Breakfast is served from December 15 through August 15.

The Shark Bites Pool Bar serves poolside snacks and refreshing beverages in the casual pool patio area of Valentines Resort. Shark Bites is for the exclusive use of Valentines’ hotel and marina guests.

Perched on the second floor of one of Valentines historic buildings, next to the the pool atrium is our famous coffee house—Cocoa Coffee House. Here you can enjoy an incredible view of the picturesque Valentines Marina and unlimited relaxation with Starbucks and Lavazza brand coffees. Cocoa Coffee House is open Monday through Saturday 7:00 am to 5:30 pm and on Sundays from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm.

The “Heartbeat” of Harbour Island has exciting news to share. Talented Chef, Billy Wright Jr. has signed on as Head Chef at Valentines Residences, Resort & Marina on Harbour Island. Chef Wright Jr., who is originally from Andros Island brings fifteen years of culinary experience and creations to Valentines.

“It all began one day at my mother’s kitchen table….” said Chef Wright as he went on to share how coming from a close-knit family in Andros, filled with family gatherings and Bahamian food, instilled an awareness of the power and joy those meals created. This inspiration led him to begin his career at the Four Seasons Resort, Exuma, followed by years of experience throughout the top kitchens in The Bahamas and the US. This included his time as Executive Chef at Schooner Bay in South Abaco and Sous Chef at the Bakers Bay Golf and Ocean Club on Guana Cay, Abaco, where he was responsible for six restaurants and outlets with 115 employees.

As he embarks on his new role at Valentines, Chef Wright will be overseeing the resort’s menus which will be enjoyed by visitors and guests from around the world. Noting his inspired upbringing and ability to source fresh local produce and vegetables to his knowledge working with local suppliers, will no doubt ensure a dining experience guests will remember. His talent and gourmet flair will be a delicious addition to Valentines.
